Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Nofitech was established in 2011 with the ambition to develop the market’s most cost-efficient and compact Recirculating Aquaculture System (“RAS”). Founders John Hestad and Geir Løvik put their combined +60 years of experience from the Norwegian fish farming industry into the development.

Nofitech is a pioneer within RAS using seawater for salmonids – the first ModulRAS constructed for seawater for postsmolt was put in operation in 2015. The solution is now well proven and the preferred solution for several of the most prolific brands in the salmon and trout industry.

We deliver our own patented, proprietary and complete RAS solutions for smolt, postsmolt, and grow-out, as well as add-on services such as training and support, and a comprehensive aftersales concept.

Nofitech is the developer and owner of the groundbreaking production prediction automation and software solution MIME.

Nofitech is owned by Summa Equity and Longship.
